Nature's Edge Assisted Living is the best kept little secret in Port Saint Lucie.  The home comfortably accommodates up to 33 residents in a warm and caring atmosphere. It is large enough to offer a variety of living-style choices; yet smaller than the 200+ residences that can be impersonal or too large and confusing.

They've been in business since 1997 and their beds stay full due to long-term staff, a caring attitude, and word-of-mouth endorsements.  Bob, the owner and Administrator, manages a true team of professionals.  It's rare that you can walk into a business these days and have access to the OWNER.

Their website: www.naturesedgeassistedliving.com provides monthly updates and photos of the residents so family members can see first-hand that "Mom" or "Dad" is having fun at activities.  They welcome many different home health agencies and offer a variety of choices to the residents and families needing home health services. (Residents and families have the right to choose a home health company.  Many communities only offer one or two options, thus limiting the options available).

Check them out...it's worth your time to see the website or stop by for a tour.

  1. The weather was perfect this week in Port Saint Lucie. So perfect, in fact, that we had an outdoor picnic / BBQ on Wednesday. The residents gathered on the patio for hot dogs and hamburgers cooked on the grill, baked beans and cole slaw. Ice cream finished off the meal and then we remained outside for a couple of hours sharing stories and having a sing-a-long. As usual, I had my camera in hand and the photos will soon be available on the website for family and friends to enjoy.
